Melissa's 21st Invitation
The Brief: Nothing says glitz and glam like a Hollywood themed 21st, and Melissa's invitation was a tribute to great cinema styling. We were provided with some wonderful shots of Melissa with her friends and family which were perfect for a negative-strip style presentation, and we added in some great leading lady-inspired touches: red velvet curtains, candles and chandeliers, film (complete with clapper board!), a mirror lined with sparkly lights, pearls and lace. The result is an elegant invitation fit for Tinsel Town royalty!
This invitation was designed as a double-sided printed Post Ready invitation, so that the invitation could be sealed and posted without an envelope, and we left room for Melissa to add in her own special VIP names from her guest list. Melissa's design also included a beautiful faux-wax custom sticker that sealed each invitation shut before it was popped in the post - such great touch for this style of invitation!

Miammi's 21st Invitation
The Brief: Miammi's invitation was a fabulous concept using our popular negative strip layout and favourite trend colour pink - a glam rock chic invitation with Miammi's own personal monogram. Lots of metallic silver, black and white, with some hot pink in the mix, coordinated beautifully with Miammi's chosen colour scheme.
This invitation was designed as a double-sided printed Post Ready invitation, so that the invitation could be sealed and posted without an envelope, and we left room for Miammi to handwrite her guest list. Miammi also took advantage of our Design Only service and arranged for her own printing - a great idea if you would like the hands on element of printing, trimming and folding your own invitations, but would still like an It's A Date design.
We hope your 21st celebrations were suitably glam Miammi!

Hayley's 30th Invitation
The Brief: We were very excited to hear from a friend of Holly's, Hayley, who's vision for her birthday invitation was based on the popular television show "Sex and the City". We designed a dressing table littered with high-end cosmetics, just like a snapshot from Carrie's boudoir. Pink diamonds were a must, along with some glamorous touches of pink, black, white and gold, against an exciting New York-esque skyline.
This invitation was designed to slip elegantly into a DL envelope and featured a sophisticated Chanel-inspired quilted pattern on the back.

Ngahuia's 21st Invitations
The Brief: We were over the moon to hear from Ashley's sister-in-law Ngahuia regarding her 21st invitation plans, particularly when we heard her theme: Hawaiian Nights! The invite design was to be like a summer balmy night at the beach: stars, surfing, swirls and a hint of sophistication, with a purple and green colour theme as a nod to Ngahuia's favourite colours. Ngahuia also provided some fun photos to include in the design.
Another great twist to this project, Ngahuia commissioned not one but two invitation designs! One was a Post-Ready invitation, to be sent to the majority of her guests, but Ngahuia also wanted to do something extra special for her best friends, and after brainstorming many different Hawaiian-themed ideas, we came up with the idea of a Message In A Bottle invitation. We designed another invitation that could be rolled up and placed in a glass bottle with some sand and seashells, ready to "wash up" on her VIP guest list's doorstep! These were around A4 in size when printed.
What fun it was to work with Ngahuia, from start to finish: you were an absolute delight! We hope you had a wonderful 21st birthday celebration!

Christel-Lee's 21st Invitation
The Brief: Pink diamonds has definitely been our most popular design trend, and Christel-Lee loved the look of bling and pink diamonds. We created a sparkly "21" filled with pink diamonds, and lots of gold - a perfect party colour scheme for Christel-Lee. Baby photos, and current snaps, formed a great decoration and we used a vintage polaroid frame for each photo to give the invitation a casual, different look. We love experimenting with different photo framing techniques so this was a really fun project to work on!
This invitation was designed as a double-sided printed Post Ready invitation, so that the invitation could be sealed and posted without an envelope, and we left room so that Christel-Lee could hand write her guest list on the invitation.
Christel-Lee, it was a pleasure putting this design together for you, we hope your party was everything you hoped for!

Holly's 21st Invitation
The Brief: Holly planned a sparkly, glamorous 21st where all decor and design would be black and white. We love this type of theme and were more than happy to provide Holly with a sophisticated black and white invitation, with lots of glitz and sparkles!
This invitation was designed as a "DL" card, a card that fits easily within a regular DL envelope, and was printed on both sides - the party details on the front, and a cute pattern on the back. A DL card is a sleek alternative to a postcard or a Post Ready invitation, and it provides plenty of room for a great design.

Nicole's 21st Invitation
The Brief: Custom creations are always exciting projects, and when Nicole first got in contact with us, her theme called for something truly special. Nicole is an avid fan of the film "Ever After" and was planning a sophisticated gathering for close friends and family. To use Nicole's words, as she represented her theme beautifully: "I want do a bit of a vintage theme, and as far as dress code goes, ladies have to wear little black dresses with a bit of dazzle in their hair and stylish shoes. Men are dressed smart and all in black as well. I'm planning to have candelabras on every table, a mannequin with an old 1800 Victorian style dress on it, a dressing table spilling over with makeup and scarfs and feathers coming out of it... The set up will be a marquee with the sides flowing down with material.. yellow and black theme all around..." Our hearts skipped with excitement, and we immediately envisioned a fold out invitation on parchment, sealed with a red wax sticker.
We used all of Nicole's ideas in the design, and devised a creative way of trimming and folding the invitation so that it had the address for each guest on the outside, and party details on the inside. The invitation also had to make a feature of the dress code, and we did this with beautiful cameo style signs. Custom illustration was created of the mannequin to give the invitation an antique boudoir feel. We were so excited to see this project come together and even more excited when Nicole called us to tell us it was perfect and that she loved it!
This invitation was designed as a double-sided print, so that the invitation could be sealed and posted without an envelope, and we also created custom wax-look stamps to seal each envelope together. This was a truly unique project, and we were so honored to be involved. Happy 21st Nicole!

Rhiannon's 21st Invitation
The Brief: Rhiannon's passions are as lovely as Rhiannon herself - she is known amongst close friends and family for her cupcake baking skills, and she loves anything to do with Paris. Keeping these interests in mind, a love of Tiffany & Co jewellery, and the colour purple, we created this sweet and unique transatlantic DL invitation card.
We used lots of Paris-inspired design elements: the Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triomphe, as well as jewellery, lace and little touches of vintage couture fashion. And of course, a yummy cupcake was a feature of the design! We supplied complimentary coloured envelopes, and customised each invitation with Rhiannon's guests' names. We also added a vintage French map to the back of the card, as a cute finishing touch!
Rhiannon was a delight to work with and made the design process lots of fun, merci beaucoup!

Lisa's 21st Invitation
The Brief: Lisa wrote to us earlier in the year asking about designing an invitation for her hot pink, candy-themed invitation for her party in New Zealand. We have created a lot of hot pink invitations this year, it's such a trendy, fun colour! Lisa picked "bright bold beautiful colors ... Black, White, Silver, Pink colours combined", and of course, the theme was Candy... with these ideas in mind, we were happy to deliver!
This invitation was designed as a "Post Ready" double-sided print, so that the invitation could be sealed and posted without an envelope, and we customised each invitation before it went to print with Lisa's friends and family's names and addresses. Our favourite feature was the "21" lollypop... sweet!
What a pleasure it was to work with Lisa, we hope you enjoyed your candy-themed 21st celebrations!

Sal's 21st Invitation
The Brief: As a nice alternative to our Post Ready and DL invitations, there is also the option to get a Postcard designed - something trendy and compact, like a nightclub/gig promo card, that can be slipped in a pretty envelope or handed out personally to your friends. Sal's friends organised Sal's invitation to be exactly this, and they took advantage of our "Design Only" service, which means that we provided the design, and they made their own arrangements for print.
It was a pleasure to create this design: great photos to work with, a really fresh and stylish colour scheme of black and silver, with a few splashes of a gold/green colour just to add a bit of interest, and some lovely lace and florals to decorate the design. Guest names could be added in at the bottom left corner using a white pen. We hope you had a wonderful night girls!

Alicia's 21st Invitation
The Brief: Alicia's invitation was all about old-world glamour fused with a contemporary-collage look - focussing on Alicia's initial as the centerpiece of the design. We wanted to give the invitation a feel of vintage fashion scrapbook: of sophisticated lace samples, dressmakers pins, silk ribbons, strands of pearls and other fashion ephemera. Candles hint at the birthday celebration without being child-like, and a couture price tag forms a space where Alicia could hand-write her guest names. This theme was continued onto the envelope side of the invitation, so that guests would get an exciting hint of what was to come when their invitation arrived in the mail!
We loved this design for it's strong "A" theme, the beautiful details all alluding to Alicia's vintage motif, and the worn antique note sheets that formed the background for Alicia's party details.
This invitation was designed as a "Post Ready" double-sided print, so that the invitation could be sealed and posted without an envelope. Alicia was a dream client to work with, very enthusiastic and gave great feedback, we hope your night was everything you hoped for!

Anna's 21st Invitation
The Brief: We were so excited to be contacted by Anna for an invitation design for ... an 80s party! Such a great theme, and as children of the 80s, definitely an era we could remember clearly! Fluoro was going to be a key element of the design, and we also included lots of fun 80s references - the Rubix cube, cassette tapes and pac man, as well as the DeLorean from Back to the Future, Space Invaders, Polaroids, graph paper, zebra print and some funky sunglasses!
We had a few ideas for the printing of Anna's invitation, which she liked. The first was to do a series of three different coloured invites: yellow, pink and green. The idea was that each colour would be the theme of the invite, and as all three would be printed, it was likely that guests who were also friends would all receive a different colored invitation, almost like a limited edition series.
In the end, Anna ended up choosing two different designs, and printed half of one, and half of the other. Very cool! This invitation was designed as a double-sided print, so that the invitation could be sealed and posted without an envelope, and we left room so that Anna could customise each invitation with her friends and family's details. Such a fun project and a blast from the past, thankyou for involving us in your celebrations Anna!
